Clairescans helps you understand food and beauty-product labels around preferences you choose. This notice covers the website and app. It is not medical advice; do not submit information you want treated as a medical record.

Information we collect

We collect the email address and consent record you submit for launch updates; account and device identifiers needed to keep you signed in; your goals, eating patterns, allergens, selected health considerations, saved products, scan metadata, feedback, and subscription status. These preferences may be sensitive. Label photos and model/OCR payloads are processed transiently and are not retained by the production API.

How we use it

We use this information to provide scans, explain product data, rank alternatives against your selected goals, protect the service, measure reliability, deliver beta updates, and manage subscriptions. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

Cloudflare provides hosting, database, and network services. Apple processes App Store/TestFlight transactions and may provide limited subscription status. Stripe processes website payments when enabled. Retailers and affiliate partners receive click or purchase information under their own policies when you choose an external product link.

Retention and deletion

We retain account data while your account is active, keep only limited scan metadata needed for history and usage, and delete account-linked records when you request account deletion, subject to records we must retain for fraud, tax, or legal compliance. Use the in-app deletion control or email [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from launch updates at any time by contacting us.

Security

We use encrypted transport, access controls, short-lived session credentials, rate limits, and transient media handling. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Clairescans is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
